What do you like most about being part of O'Brien?
I was lucky to start with O'Brien right out of college and I have spent my career here in positions of increasing responsibility. I have been exposed to every aspect of the business, and have a platform to continue growing, learning and contributing to the success of our clients, our firm, and our industry. As the firm's most recent partner, I look forward to helping create our bright future.
Can you share one secret to success that has been helpful to you in your career?
Honesty and being able to manage expectations are essential to building trust. Our clients trust that I will be their advocate in any way that I can, and that I will deliver what I promise. This is the foundation for long term relationships.
If wealth management were an ocean, what kind of creature would you be?
I would be an Octopus. The octopus can mimic others, find its way through a maze and solve problems. These latter two are great skills to have as a financial planner. And can you imagine how much more you could get done with eight arms with suction cups?
What would your co-workers say is your superpower?
My superpower is focus. People are often amazed at my ability to put things into perspective and stay on track. When others are blocked by barriers or stuck on issues, I am able to pole vault over them, reestablish focus and keep things moving forward. Our clients appreciate my commitment and determination to help them implement the plans we create.
You're a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be?
Blue Print Blue - A little known fact about me is that I was a design major in college! What really appealed to me in design was not the color of the accent pillow but where to place the light sockets. I love maximizing the efficiency of any space and adding structure to any picture.
